It’s important for kids to be fit properly for their golf equipment. Kids need clubs that are the right length, weight, grip size and shaft flex. U.S. Kids Golf has a great system to use, and it’s as simple as knowing how tall you are.
Because U.S. Kids Golf specializes in fitting junior golfers, its system is based on a player’s height rather than age. “Clubs that don’t fit, that are too long and too heavy, create swing problems at an early age,” said John Godwin, U.S. Kids Golf Director of Player Development. “Start with a club that fits, and you’ll be in good shape.”
The Ultralight series of clubs offers sets of clubs for nine different heights: 39″, 42″, 45″, 48″, 51″, 54″, 57″, 60″ and 63″. For advanced junior golfers with faster swing speeds, the Tour Series offers sets of clubs for five different heights: 51″, 54″, 57″, 60″ and 63″.
